Painting Workshop for Adults
In this fun and informative small group class, you will create oil paintings in subjects of your choice. Barbara will demonstrate various painting techniques and you will learn about color theory and how to mix and apply color. Explore using color and value to create form, light and shadow. Learn how to create depth and perspective in your paintings. Practice direct and indirect forms of painting as you develop your own painting style. New students accepted October 2011, space is limited, call now! Classes meet Fridays from 12:30 - 2:30; $120.00 per month (includes one Saturday make up class each month)Painting for Children
This class meets every Friday after school and is ideal for the serious young artist. Students work on individual painting projects with guidence and demonstrations from the instructor. Subjects include drawing in proportion and perspective, color, color mixing, value, light and shadow, as well how to use and care for materials. Students bound for art-college may work on portfolio projects while becoming familiar with the methods, materials, techniques and vocabulary of the art world. Classes meet every Friday from 3:30 - 5:00; $120.00 per month (includes one Saturday make up class each month). Two spaces available, class fills quickly, call now.
Drawing for Children and Adults
Drawing is the foundation of painting. In this class you will draw from life and from photos as you work with line, value, form, modeling, shape, proportion, and perspective. Taught by Academy of Art senior honor student and practicing artist, Evan Davies. Classes meet on weekends; email for times and fees.
