About Giclee Printing
Giclée (jhee-clay) - Giclee is French, and means 'to spray ink'.  Barbara's paintings are professionally photographed using the latest digital technology.  The image is then transferred to a computer.  The publisher, working with the artist, carefully compares and color matches the computerized image to the original painting.  Using a high resolution multi-color printer and archival inks, 'proofs' of the image are printed onto canvas or paper. Barbara and the publisher study a series of proofs, making adjustments and changes as needed, until the proof matches the original painting.  Finally,  the limited edition prints are released to the public.
